Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress was initially famous for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab, in which she co-starred alongside veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. She started acting when an infant and was struggling for several years because many of her early film projects were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of India's top film actresses. Following her wedding ceremony, she took a short time off from her acting career before returning. Recently, she was a key player on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. She was also honored with her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
